I liked the characters and this story. Kiiki is a natural power source and can light up a city with just a touch but by being a physical talent on Resicor she is locked away into the Dome. Her parents are high up on the social ladder and use their influence to get her out and recruited into the Citadel. I loved her character for she is strong and knows exactly what she wants and how to use her talent. When she is cleared to go on assignment she is paired with Harken, a Nishan made of mist and can take any form he wants. He decides he wants to test their compatibility by taking an average, nothing special appearance but Kiiki can see past the exterior into his eyes and they are made for one another. It's a busy story so the reader isn't left stuck in the story with no where to go. We get to read of some of the other characters from previous books from Morganti, Udell and Teklan Base and of Station 13. We get to see a more humorous side of the Avatars on Balen. I love that Kiiki's main goal is to free the talents imprisoned on her home planet and I can't wait for that book. Grace may have to make it a bit longer than her usual novellas.Product details

Great book. This is probably the best book I have read by this author in a long time. We find out why the starlight engines sing.

Good story, good to see some of the Terrans mentioned in the book. I am enjoying the Citadel stories. Citaldel Stories
should all be read in order.
A lovely read about a brave heroine who finally gets to bask in her gifts. A wonderful hero, good world building and a fine romance.
I enjoyed reading this book and was surprised that I had been remiss in leaving a review. Good book with spice and spunk thrown in.
Very Interesting Story,but too little romance, just not enough development of the
relationship of the lead male and female...this is supposed to be a romance right?
coz it's really hard to tell coz their relationship was blander that Harken's face (who is usually in
a gaseous type form and likes to "blend in" when in humanoid form)...
I liked the story on it's own but its was ok as just a story but kinda a fail as a romance ,kinda
an 80 - 20 to 90 -10 split on their relationship and little to basically sex because he was in gaseous
form when they finally came together at the end of the book and his just seemed "to touch her all over"
as a gas and that was kinda it....
